Wednesday evening adult Bible study serves as a mid-week oasis from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It is a time for intentional focus upon God’s Word. This is seen as an important aspect of discipleship, as we cannot underestimate the power of God’s Word. The apostle Paul teaches us, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be equipped for every good work” (2 Tim. 3:16-17, NKJV). Also, the author of Hebrews declares: “For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (Heb. 4:12, NKJV).
Bible study not only serves to provide a diet of solid spiritual food, but it also serves as a valuable source of fellowship where “iron sharpens iron” (Prov. 27:17, NKJV). Here at The Bridge Fellowship Centre, Bible study is generally well attended with many participants of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
We encourage you to join us from 7:00-9:00 pm, (doors open at 6:30 pm). No child-care is available. Coffee and snacks are provided. Bible Study evenings are interactive and participatory, embracing times of prayer, worship, and discussing Biblical truths.
We are currently studying the book of Acts facilitated by Brandon Williams and Pat Dergousoff. Pat is currently on the Bridge staff team in the position of Shepherd/Discipleship Development.
