The students in our advanced sewing class have been using donated fabric to craft new aprons for the kitchen at The Bridge. Jamie is modelling the one she created.
The class has also been making items that were sold with the money coming back to The Bridge to be reinvested in ministry. A win-win if there was one!
Our Sewing Room isn't just a place to sew and do arts and crafts, but is also a place to encounter Jesus. The class enjoys sharing about their lives and praying for each other before and after class.
And they pray for even the seemingly small things. One day one of the sewing machines wasn't working properly. As some were trying to fix it, another half-jokingly said that they should pray for it. Jamie took it seriously, laid her hands on the sewing machine and asked Jesus to fix it. Till this day, that machine is working just fine!
God is "SEW" good !
