BEHIND EVERY PERSON There's a STory
There is always a story behind why people are the way they are. Since The Bridge opened it’s doors some 20+ years ago, we’ve seen over and over again that our visitors’ struggles are rooted in trauma. Trauma can be understood two ways: bad things that happen to a person, such as physical/sexual/verbal abuse, neglect, broken family situations etc. or the absence of good things we all need, such as unconditional love, provision of basic physical needs, encouragement etc.
In our experience, especially in the last couple years of reduced capacity, our visitors need prayer ministry, mentorship and coaching, all through genuine relationship. It’s through relationship with Jesus and Christian community that we can all experience the transforming power of our Savior. The heart for this new building is to expand our capacity and effectiveness in these areas so that we can see more lives transformed!

Once renovated, this building will EXPaND OUR CAPACITY for:
- one-on-one prayer ministry and discipleship training
- assisting families seeking restoration
- teaching large groups
- worship and prayer
- coming alongside our visitors, advocating more effectively for them as they deal with housing applications, lost IDs, rehab applications etc.
